One day I was looking at the Dutch blog "Love Aesthetics", the author had made a white dress and photographed it from the back. It reminded me of some kind of elegant lab coat. I made a large wood construction (200 x 150 cm) with panels and protruding fins: in pure white.
In the centre of this lab coat I opened a window into which I placed an oil-painted mini-landscape, a microscopic world of scientific observation. The original large version has been sold, I did two small versions, this is the last one available.
The painting was later featured on the blog.
